Did you know that sitting is the new smoking? Get up and move! If you don’t exercise because you feel like you don’t have the time to go to the gym, there are plenty of exercises that you can do from ANYWHERE! No excuses!
If you like to watch tv, start off by committing to do squats, pushups, or crunches during commercial break and walking in place during the show time. If you have a treadmill, put it in front of the TV and stop using it as a piece of furniture. If music makes you move, set up a playlist of your favorite songs to work out to.
Take a walk around your neighborhood or the park. If you have a dog, take him/her with you. If you have kids, take them with you. Running around playing at the park burns off calories without you even realizing it, and you have fun doing it.
Lead by example. If you have children, or even other family members in the house that could benefit from more exercise, get them to join in. If your body isn’t moving or getting enough exercise, it isn’t burning off the calories it took in. Your heart rate also needs to get elevated to get your blood flowing to your other organs keeping them healthy. A healthy body is a healthier you! Eat Better and Live Better!
