Our History

Eat Better Live Better (EBLB) is a 501(c)3 that provides access to fresh produce, healthy groceries, and nutrition education to the communities we serve to help prevent, reverse, and reduce childhood obesity and other diet-related health conditions. Our vision is that all children, families, and individuals have access to nutrition education and healthy foods regardless of background or life experiences.

Debra Tendrich, inspired by her own weight loss transformation founded the organization in 2016 to develop programs that benefit America’s children and families.

Starting small and local, the EBLB team has provided fun, hands on, and evidence-based curriculum to over 10,000 children. EBLB, helped by several generous corporate and community supporters, continues to grow and provide a tremendous impact.

Due to the impact made by EBLB we won non-profit of the year through the Delray Chamber of commerce. We have distributed over 1,000,000 pounds of healthy groceries and fresh produce to the community since the onset of the COVID Pandemic.
